The course takes 3 days

This course is 3 hours in duration and covers DRABC – Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Recovery Positions, CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Circulation) as well as signs, symptoms and treatment of anaphylaxis and use of auto-injectors.

The course is designed for those in the work place that could potentially have to deal with clients that may be prone to anaphylaxis.

Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can be triggered by many factors such as certain foods, latex, medication and insect stings. Anaphylaxis is life threatening – symptoms can appear within seconds to minutes of being exposed to the allergen and the correct management is required immediately.

This course is designed to give the student the knowledge and skills to recognise and deliver the correct management of anaphylaxis.

Following completion of the course, students will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years.
